A "Birdie" possibility! Ideal landing area is left off the tee. Longer hitters can reach in two. Shorter hitters should lay up down the left side of the fairway at least 85-100 yards short for best visibility and stance for approach shot.
Aim at center target bunker for best drive. Boundary looms close for approach shots missing the green long and left. Best aiming point is right center of green. Simpler “up & downs” short and right of green.
Hole #3 “Strong par 3!” Par is a great score. Ideal approach shot is a low, run-up. Best bail out is short due to the narrow width of the green.
Safer drive is at, or slightly right of, target bunker onto elevated fairway. Short-cuts to the left of the fairway may end in “agony” of tall fescue atop one of numerous mounds short of lake. Deep green requires quality approach shot to avoid frontal bunkers.
Best drive is left center. Approach plays shorter than indicated. Left and right of the green are lateral hazards. Topography requires good balance on approach shot to avoid miss-hits.
A visual masterpiece! Elevated tee shot shortens the indicated yardage. The back half of the green slopes toward the water—so be careful! Plenty of lay-up room for weaker players. Tough par but easy bogey.
Shortest par 4 on the front 9. Short hitters play left center fairway. Risk/reward option: Carry over the right side of the fairway bunker shortens hole considerably. Uphill approach shot plays longer than indicated to carry numerous frontal bunkers. The left side of the green is the safest approach.
Two long, front 9 finishing holes—avoid fairway bunkers and boundary. The green is very deep with simple short recovery shots from approaches missing the green to the right. Front left bunkers are death!
Long, demanding 3-shot par 5! Only the longest hitters should attempt to reach it in two. Play center of the fairway all the way, avoiding fairway bunkers on the left from tee and to the right on second shots. Long is better than short on approach shots to a shallow green, bunkered in front!
Only par 5 on the back 9 requiring placement on all shots. Reachable in two, but approach shots missing the green to the left may be wet! Playing safe results in more birdies and fewer high scores.
Plays longer than indicated—uphill all the way. The ideal tee shot is at target bunker. Long and left is “doomed” both off the tee and on approach shots. The severely undulated two-tiered green rewards uphill approach putts.
Shortest par 3 requires exacting approach shot to avoid numerous bunkers. Undulated putting surface slopes right to left and back to front.
A driveable par 4! This is a multi-option test which may yield “eagles” or “snowmen”! Long iron or fairway wood, short or left of the fairway bunker complex leaves only a short approach. Long hitters can carry to this green, but all must avoid the stacked sod wall bunkers fronting the green on both sides. Over the green is death!
Best drive is short of the fairway bunkers favoring the left center of the fairway. The green is wide, but shallow and a major hump divides the green in half. Don’t miss the green left or you’re probably lost!
Elevated tee shortens this hole considerably. Visually exciting, with water fronting the green and along the left side. The fairway narrows considerably as you near the green. Safe shot is to play short from the tee to a point 125-150 yards from the green. Then play to the center or right side of green—the left side is a “sucker play” with water behind.
The hardest par 4 on the course. Tee shot requires long forced carry over water. Ideal tee shot is a left to right style down the center of the fairway. Sloping fairway forces awkward stance for long approach shots over the second lake to a small, well bunkered green. Par is a great score here!
The signature hole! Doesn’t play as frightening as it looks. Plenty of room left of the green for safe play. Ideal target is left center of the green. The hole plays one-two clubs less than yardage. Only highly skilled players should challenge the right side of the green.
Appears short, but plays two clubs longer on approach shots. Avoid fairway bunkers off the tee. Requires exacting approach to a challenging putting surface—stay below the hole for a fast finish!
